Caught the flu a few days ago.
By God's grace I'm getting better.

Then realized that I have to take my medicine.

couldn't sleep properly for the past few days
every time i lay down to sleep
i would be wide awake
and i'll find myself
thinking/playing the guitar/singing softly

when i do fall asleep, say about 3~4 in the morning
i would wake up pretty late, by noon latest, feeling exhausted

then last night a thought occurred to me:
'is this what they call insomnia?'

I just got back from a mission trip
with a Korean missionary team.
The trip was amazing! :)
There were about 25 of us
and we visited three native villages during the 5d4n trip.
Though each village had different backgrounds and issues,
God moved through the exploits of the team.

I was reminded once again that
really actions speak louder than words.
Most of the team members couldn't speak the native language,
but by just serving out of a sincere heart and humility,
it was enough to seal the deal for many souls!

Sure, there were spiritual and physical distractions..
Maybe we could have done some things a little bit better..
But we shouldn't be discouraged because God let these things to happen.
for a reason.
And as His ways and thoughts are higher than ours,
we can only trust and rely on daddy God even more.

Therefore I will hold on to the promise of God,
that He will complete the good work He has started in us :)

One part of me think it's silly but the other part is saying 'why not?'
Its a similar case with someone I know.
And I admire that person for such perseverance and faith.
Will it be the same for me?
Well, only prayer and time will answer that.
(I still think it's pretty stupid of me)

Throughout the trip, I learned and saw many things.
It was definitely an eye-opener for me and
God spoke to me personally a number of times.
Felt the need to spend more time reading the word of God most of all.

Currently coming out with a timetable for the remaining weeks of my holiday.
Gonna include slots such as Bible Study, Practicing Typing in Korean etc.

after class yesterday
i went out with nigel and his high shool friends to play futsal
if i'm not mistaken, this is my 2nd time playing futsal since i came to KL
(and everyone go whaaaaaa...?)
yup, its been ages since i ran around a court to my heart's content
also, his friends were really entertaining and i got to know a few of them

managed to score some goals and..*sigh*
the feeling of the ball exploding at the tip of my feet..
priceless
yet it's the most natural the in the world
irony?

oh yeah, there was one period
when we were losing like crazy during the game
and i hadn't been scoring for some time
out of the blue, something i wanted caught my eyes
so i told God in frustration that if i scored the next goal
he would have to give me that thing i wanted or something better
and guess what?!
me being motivated and all, managed to net the next goal

Ahahaha. Nontheless, it was a morning abundant of sweat and mud.
Got to know a nice bunch of students studying there, who volunteered to help out.
Was a little annoyed about something but I let it go.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter.

Had lunch in McD with Julian.
Got to know him a little better today.

Bambi picked me up from the airport
went for a drink with him and friend infront of my house

went to dad's church yesterday
managed to fix and modify the layout of the drum set there
looking very unique(?)

currently i'm working on the documents needed for my scholarship
hope it all goes well

just a random thought:
Jesus' second coming would be after everyone
around the world have heard the gospel at least once..
so i thought whether it would be possible if there was
a super, mega, bombastic conference or some sort,
which is compulsory for the whole world to attend
and there, the gospel is preached to them

other religion leaders would definitely object to this
or want to take part in this 'competition/debate'
heh. it would be like a final show-down where God can show off
(like prophets of Baal and Elijah in 1 Kings 18)
wondering whether this might work

Dave, my Pastoral-intern guy (P.I.G) for Act's Campus ministry
gave the team, a list of names of newcomers, for us to follow-up on.

I got one name last week and only managed to make a call just now.
And btw, it's my first time officially follow-upping on someone really new to church.
And, *argggghhhh* it's seriously weird calling a stranger at night.
I had to ask him, yeah it's a HIM (follow-upping is a guy-to-guy, girl-to-girl thing),
questions like, 'Where do you study?' etc.
All of a sudden, I was worried about him thinking that I was a stalker.
*yikes*
but thank God, I managed to finish my call soon after that

p.s. I had two regular pans of pizza for dinner on my own today.

Movie spree~

I've only been to a Korean cinnema once.
That was about 9 years ago.
So it was my desire to go to the movies this trip to Korea.
;P

and last weekend i got my wish
I went to the movies twice!
nyways, cuz the internet speed here is magical
I also downloaded two movies last week
watched a few episode of a popular drama at my cuzzie's too.

so these are what I watched (in chronological order):

The proposal

Watched this last Friday night.
One of the movies I downloaded. It was super funneh!

I went to the cinnema the next day with my cuzzies to watch 2012
but we ended up watching..er..new moon. ^^'''

New moon

Erm, didn't watch the first movie so I was kinda lost.
Animation was nice & freaky.

500 days of summer

Got back home and then watched the other movie I downloaded.
The 500 days of summer was kinda confusing cuz it kept jumping back and forth.
I love the ending though =P

Saturday afternoon, I went over to my other cuzzie's place (TM1)

jiwon - he grew so much! near my height dy.

Stayed overnight at his place and played with air guns etc.
Went to church with him the next morning and played some more.
And I was suppose to head back home but ended up watching 'Iris',
the new korean drama with his family till quite late. Heh.
And so I stayed another night at his place.

Iris - pretty nice =) full of suspense

Monday morning,
my cousen sister treated me to another movie; Law abiding citizen.
It was pretty gory and we both watched it with our eyes clenched closed.
The ending was quite unexpected though >.<

we're living at the end times
that doesn't mean it cannot be exciting!

yesterday, in the evening service, more than 270 ppl came (a breakthrough attendance!)
out of which 160 were campus students! our prayers were answered! =)
cuz about a month ago, our campus team decided to aim for 160 campus students
coming for the evening service.
yeap. Owesome isn't it?

the SJ 1,2,5 Homes (cell group) i'm attending in Acts
has grown from 20~30 ppl to 67 people this year.
and that's why this week we're multiplying to two different Homes (SJ1 and SJ2)
wanna thank God for allowing us to grow this big!

talking about big..
there's going to be a B.I.G Campus Party this November!
and there's a Campus Camp coming up next February too!
haha, will update more on these two next time =)

for the past few weeks
i've been busy preparing for Taylor's first ever CF camp in Peacehaven, Genting
and throughout the many weeks of planning i faced many challenges but carried on forward with faith
the camp was from 25th~27th Sept (Fri~Sun)

Taylor's CF camp was simply amazing
it was worth every sacrifice i made
Elder KY and Dave Yeow came up all the way to Genting and spoke to us
on the first night session itself, we had 5 responses!
3 wanting to accept Christ and 2 re-dedication
all glory goes to you Lord =)

got up the next morning at 6, bathed, and went for worship practice for Session 2
the water was freezing cold and i trembled all the way to the hall
when i got there, i saw some of the guy commitees sleeping there
found out later that they got locked out of their dorms =P
they used carpets as their blanket which they had brought to use for games.
nyways, we started praticing by 6:45am
i was leading that session and everyone did great =)
Session 2 was powerful and everyone paid close attention as Elder KY shared from his life

after Session 2, we had nearly 2 hours of games
games were fun, even though there were some v. last minute changes ;)
i felt bad though because after everyone went back to their dorms to freshen up, i heard from MZ that some campers hurt their feet while playing the game i was in charge of
ouchies >.< sowwie guys~

Session 3 was fantastic as well, as Dave shared from his heart
nearly all the campers responded to his message and many of them came up to be prayed
it was a God-moment, and He started healing those who were hurt and those dealing with unforgiveness
i was overwhelmed as i witnessed God ministering

with Session 3 ending at a solemn note
campers were given the option of either talking to the leaders privately in Dave's room or to join Crazy Night instead.
majority of the campers went up to a bigger hall for Crazy Night where they played 'capture the flag'
i was there for awhile but later went down to the hall and jammed with my friends at 1-ish in the morning ^__^
after camp commitee debrief, some of us stayed back to play baseball
it was rather amusing i have to say :P
oh yeah, i received a cup noodle+a note and an sms from my angel
(we were playing smth like 'guardian angel' for the whole duration of camp)
and it felt good to be reminded that someone out there was looking out for you =)

slept 'early' and woke up late the next morning
didn't have enough time to bath and so i hurried towards the hall for Session 4 practice
got there around 6:35am and it was extremely cold =/
my phone battery had been out by Session 1 and i finally managed to charge my phone before practice started

was waiting and jamming a little bit while waiting for the others when my phone buzzed
i read the sms and i didn't know how to react
was i suppose to feel sad?
shocked?
traumatized?
strangely, i was calm. super calm.
the thing is, i didn't know her that well
i've only met her less than, like what, 20 times in my whole lifetime?
and when i did get to meet her, it was awkward
to be honest, i don't know the people over there that well
that saddens me sometimes.
i guess its a price i have to bear as a mk
don't get me wrong. i thank God for the life He has given me.
but like everybody else, we each have different challenges to go through
and i'm going to win every challenge by faith

came back to ss15 around 3pm
and went straight to church
i didn't want to go at first because i was tired and had assignments to do
also mixed emotions were brewing within me
but after talking to my mentor, i decided to go
my friends and i were a few minutes late due to post-raya jam
stepped into church and when i started worshipping, i nearly cried
it was hard to hold back the tears but i managed it somehow

got back home after actscampus debrief
and fell asleep instantly.
woke up in the middle of the night and tried to study for chemistry test but to no avail
finally woke up at 7:25 this morning
*yikes*
yeap, i was late for the morning prayer but when i reached the basketball court
i saw this huge group of people standing and sharing testimonies
i was stunned and when it dawned on me that this was the prayer group
i couldn't help but give thanks to God for the breakthrough attendance =)
as we continued sharing and praying more people came and joined us
everybody totalled up, we had 31 people in morning prayer today!
awesomeness.
all glory goes to You!

sat for the chem test today, and i made a few careless mistakes
will improve the next time round!
giving a graded speech in college tmr, uh oh
and SAT is less than two weeks away
and i'm still feeling 'heavy' after i received the sms
do pray for me =)

well that's about it.
will update whenever i can :)

tried to kill a cockroach last night

talked about servers and high tech stuffs ;)

dinner took nearly 2 hours to finish

i realized that i'm not a big fan of facebook. lols

sunlight filtered through the plain, light-yellow curtain
i opened my heavy eyelids and gazed around the room

"Ahh..what a mess," i sighed softly

i sat up and sat cross legged on my dusty bed
a glance at my ikea alarm clock told me it was nearly noon

"Great," i mumbled bluntly while reaching out for my bolster
hugging the limp pillow i waited...
waited...
and waited

suddenly, i told to no one in particular, "It's coming.."
i slowly turned and gaped at my wooden, room door.

i frozed and my heart began to jump as seconds ticked by.
hands were wet with sweat and my body had goosebumps appearing all over.

the suspense was suffocating me..
i had to break free but was powerless to do so..
there was nowhere to run.
no place to hide..

i closed my eyes tightly and tried to ignore what was to come
it'll soon be over, i thought hopefully
that hope, however, was shattered when without warning, my body went into a spasm

"Ah...ahh.."

this is it, i told myself
this is the end..
my heart did a final somersault
my vision through squinting eyes blurred..

"Chhhhooooo!"

i sneezed.

"Phew..That's much better. Stupid sinus..," i smiled sheepishly.

so i celebrated by watching movies online

the first movie is called 'romantic island'

i have to say it's one of the best movie i've watched so far =P

it's a romance/comedy

the next one is 'sad movie'

it's pretty old..but i'm outdated so yeah ^^

then i realized i was playing a little too much

i only got to the 'what is a computer?' part before i zoomed off to zzZz-land. lol

i woke up to the annoying sound of my phone ringing

tried to find for it but couldn't because i was still feeling woozy

when i finally found my phone, i saw 5 missed calls

i looked out my window

it was dark

was kinda shocked when i first saw my clock

11:11pm. -__-

awesome. couldn't be happier

in summary, i wasn't productive today.

james called and told me that the camp is acutally happening

praise the Lord! prayer works eh? ;)

am craving for butter chicken & hot chocolate

but it's 12am++ dy

had an awesome weekend in church
it was a full house during easter sunday
and over the course of three days, more than 3 ppl got saved
hear that party going on up there? =D
haha. awesome stuff

i went for audition after easter service
mind you, i've not been playing drums for 4~5 months now
and so when i sat infront of the drum set
i was kinda lost
double bass pedals, weird looking cymbals and all
LOL
felt really good smashing those though
super-uber nice sounds. hahaha.
apparently i wasn't hitting hard enough
cuz some of the current drummers came up and asked me to hit harder. lol
i will, when i get used to the songs! haha
=)

ahhhh i have a mountain load of work/studying to do

finals is next week *eek*

okay, i shall update once exams are over. yeap

it's kinda late already but i'll just write what's in my heart at the moment
there was a case here in kl

a boy fell from the 14th floor and died
he was an ex-lodgian studying in taylors
yeah, his death was tragic
but the sad thing was that he didn't know Christ
im sure he had friends around him who could have led him to say a short sinner's prayer
but he died without having a personal relationship with Him

through this incident i was reminded once again how this generation needs to be saved
they may seem fine outside but they are lost in the inside
and some of them are crying out for smth that actually last
smth that fills that emptiness they feel within
and God's the only solution to that
ppl around us can go in that split second. just like that..
are we doing our parts?

it's the goodest-news-ever we are sharing, haha

the first thing i saw when i got into the bathroom
in the morning was this black thingy on the floor

cockroach frenzy!!

i smashed one yesterday night with the broom

it was severed into two because of the impact

and both parts were still moving and a part of the floor was covered with this green paste

but this time i sprayed it with 'ridsect'

didn't feel like multilating another cockroach so..yeah. lol

so i watched 3 movies instead
even if that wasn't enough
i played 'deepquest'

by the time i finished all that it was already 8pm

i felt that i didn't do anything productive
so, i did my laundry
washed the dishes

and again, its like as if time decided to go hyperspeed
first sem is nearly over
finals is just around the corner
and i'll be back home soon

looking back now
i realised i've been through quite a lot
both good and unpleasant
but i'm thankful for everything
i met some amazing, unique, wacky new friends in the last three months ;)
cool/lame/boring..*coughs* lecturers *clears throat*
the privilege to serve in church and prayer group
and many lots more! :D

yeah..haha. nyways, i have to sit for my 2nd mid-term math paper later.

oh yeah, today is mis-match day!
hope at least a few ppl would turn up in college in their funky clothes! haha
didn't really have time to publicise to the whole of adp, so..

it's just that we've been on the topic of 'work' in my eng class
and i was wondering what kind of job i would like to have in the future
a well paid job?
a comfortable job?
then i remembered that we're suppose to come out
from our comfort zones and impact the world around us
so then..am i suppose to get an uncomfortable job?

i'm sorry if some of you guys don't get it
it's just that sometimes my thoughts wander off track =)

i'll just say it out

i wasn't in a very good mood today

i was suppose to sleep until 10am

but i had to wake up early and go for theater practice

ie. my day started quite bad

also i was disappointed over many things

for example, my dinner costs me rm9

(it was just mee goreng+chicken drumstick+apple juice)

and there were ppl smoking shisha

the smoke was like coming directly at me

i tried not to be rude but i couldn't help it so i fanned the smoke away

lol

anyways, this verse sort of made my day

came across it while doing my qt

if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment

yeah so...i shall not be unhappy

cuz He's really in control of everything and He's able to rescue me from my problems =)

theater and the cheesy lines

today, during the theater class

our group got to present one short skit

the basic plot is this:

scene 1

mr. A meets a girl no.1 jogging in the park

he stops her and tries to persuade her to date him

he drops a cheesy line here that goes smth like

'hey, did it hurt?'

girl says, 'huh..?' *confused*

'when you fell down from heaven'

'er..?'

'cuz you're an angel'

haha, lame right?

nyways, she rejects and jogs away

scene 2

mr. A feels hot and tired so walks into starbucks

he sees girls no. 2&3 talking by a table

he walks over and tries to persuade 'em to date him

he drops another cheesy line

'is your father a terrorist?'

girl no.2 says, 'excuse me..?'

'cuz you're the bomb'

(the class starts laughing quite loudly ^^''')

the girls get grossed out and leaves

scene 3

mr. B (me) is a shopkeeper of a camera shop

girls 4&5 drops by the shop and wonders which camera to buy

mr. A approaches and smacks one of the girls

girls are horrified and mr. B is blur

mr. A says hi to mr. B and while pointing towards the back of the shop,

he tells mr. B that barak obama is trying to steal cameras from the shop

so mr. B runs off after obama

mr. A then drops another cheesy line (smth about bakers and buns) to the girls

and the enraged girls leave

scene 4

girls no. 1,2,3,4&5 all meets up and talks about mr. A

mr. A shows up and says yet another cheesy line

the girls get angry and makes a commotion

then mr. B comes and pulls away mr. A

both of 'em talk and when things got pretty heaty, mr. A slaps mr. B

mr. B gets angry and does a kung fu stance

mr. A follows suit

both of 'em start fighting until mr. B emerges as the winner

girls rushes to him and mr. B walks off with them

scene 5

mr. B trots over and helps mr. A, who's lying on the ground, to his feet

then mr. B thanks mr. A for helping him out and pays him cash

mr. A recives the cash and says, ' do it yourself next time alright?'

mr. B nods+grins, 'thanks'

and then walks toward the girls

~end~

yeap yeap, it was quite poorly done though cuz last minute changes and stuff

but overall, it was quite good =)

the funny thing was, the kung fu fight was suppose to be the hit of the skit but the cheesy lines received more laughters instead

oh well, haha
